Danielle LaFrance hates to rent and work on the occupied lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and Səl̓ílwətaʔ peoples. They wrote the poetry-research-theory books JUST LIKE I LIKE IT (Talonbooks, 2019), Friendly + Fire (Talonbooks, 2016), species branding (Capilano University Editions, 2010), and #postdildo (Talonbooks, 2022). They are currently collaborating on an inter(intra)textual sound project Yes, Sydo with Josh Rose, that has so far included a reading group of Homer’s Odyssey (along with texts on pain, hospitality (xenia), listening, sadism, etc.), 24 poems responding to the 24 books of the epic (one of which is available here), and now the workings of a graphic score.
