
Kai Ihns is currently a Humanities Teaching Fellow at the University of Chicago, where she recently completed a PhD focusing on a form of attentional-cognitive prosody in contemporary experimental poetry and film, a project called
Aspect Choreography. She’s the author of two books of poems:
Of (The Elephants, 2024), and
sundaey (Propeller Books, 2020), as well as numerous pamphlets, including most recently
Wednesday (The Creative Writing Department, 2023) and
GREEN SKY (slub press, 2023). She’s the editor of
The Year, and works as an Advisory Poetry Editor at
The Paris Review.
