Marjorie Welish is the author of A Complex Sentence, published by Coffee House Press in 2021. Previous poetry collections from Coffee House include So What So That (2016), In the Futurity Lounge / Asylum for Indeterminacy (2012), and Isle of the Signatories (2008). Recently her constructed art books were on exhibit at Maastricht, Germany, and in 2021 they will be at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Welish’s art criticism is collected in Signifying Art: Essays on Art after 1960 (Cambridge University Press, 1999), and writings by others on her painting and poetry appear in Of the Diagram: The Work of Marjorie Welish (Slought Foundation, 2003).
