Roa Lynn has lived in Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Salt Lake City, Washington, DC, and currently in New York City. She was a print and television journalist for Time, Newsweek and KUTV. She has written about Brazilian history, economics, and culture for the Brazilian Embassy in Washington, DC. In recognition of these writings, she was decorated with the order of Rio Branco by the Brazilian government. Her essay “Pablo Neruda Wrote Me A Poem” was published by The New Yorker.
