Sachiko Kishimoto is a writer and translator. She graduated with a degree in English literature from Sophia University in Tokyo, then worked in the PR division of a liquor company before becoming a translator. She has translated numerous works into Japanese, including Lucia Berlin’s A Manual for Cleaning Women, Miranda July’s The First Bad Man, George Saunders’ Tenth of December, Jeanette Winterson’s Lighthousekeeping, and Shaun Tan’s Tales from the Inner City, among others.
