Sean Bonney gave us a body of work devoted to justice, a poetry seeking not just to interpret the world but to change it. In homage to his life and work, we are gathering a series of texts and tributes. We hope that this will be an ongoing project, a collective space to celebrate and remember Bonney’s remarkable and generous life and work.
from Cancer: Poems after Katerina Gogou
for a long time now
have been aware of them
visiting my home
special registers of fog and rain
others are fucking on the floor
they sit among them
pale as morning
others are kissing
they recite deserted slogans
the cancellation of incidents
salts and luminous voices
with no body
with a pale sun
and death shall flee them
