Susana Villalba (Buenos Aires, 1956) is a poet, playwright, and theater critic. She is the author of nine poetry collections and one novel. Her most recent book, La bestia ser, received a Guggenheim Fellowship and won Argentina’s National Poetry Award in 2019. She teaches at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes in Buenos Aires.
